Shane Murphy is a Montreal singer songwriter and guitarist whose groove driven mix of rock, blues, soul, funk and reggae has defined his sound since 1996. Critics describe his music as “full, thick, powerful and tumbling”, sung “from the gut” and propelled by a guitar style that blends grit and rhythm.

 

His albums explore sharp urban stories and character driven narratives, while his live shows — known for their spontaneity, interaction and extended improvisations — have earned him a loyal following and a reputation as one of Montreal’s most compelling performers.
